Al Ahly, le Wydad Casablanca, Mamelodi Sundowns et Espérance de Tunis, ils sont quatre à représenter le continent africain à la Coupe du monde des clubs qui commence ce dimanche aux Etats-Unis.
Le club égyptien Al Ahly aura l’honneur d’ouvrir le bal. Les Diables Rouges croiseront Lionel Messi et l’Inter Miami lors du match inaugural, prévu dimanche 15 juin, au Hard Rock Stadium. Un choc très attendu. Ensuite, ils affronteront deux autres gros morceaux : Palmeiras (Brésil) et le FC Porto (Portugal), toujours dans ce Groupe A aux allures de piège.
De son côté, le Wydad Casablanca n’a pas été épargné par le tirage. Les Marocains évolueront dans le groupe G, où les attendent Manchester City, la Juventus de Turin, et Al Ain.
